What is the Cooling Off period?

You have a full 14 days from the purchase date of the policy (as set out in the Certificate of Insurance) to make sure you are happy with every aspect of your Fast Cover Travel Insurance policy. This is known as the 'cooling off' period. During this time you may cancel the policy simply by contacting us and we will give you a full refund.

You cannot cancel your policy:

  • If you have exercised any of your rights or powers under the policy
For example: You have made a claim on your policy.
  • If the travel departure date (shown on your Certificate of Insurance) has passed within the 14 day cooling off period.
For example: If you buy your policy 2 days before you depart for your trip, you would only have 2 days of cooling of, and NOT 14 days.

If you buy your policy 21 days before you depart for your trip, you would have 14 days of cooling off, unless you have exercised any of your rights or powers under the policy.
