What is the maximum amount of time that I can purchase an Already Overseas policy?

The maximum amount of time you can purchase an Already Overseas policy is 24 months.

You would need to firstly take out a policy for the initial 12 months of your trip, and then extend your policy for the another 12 months once your policy starts.

Please note that policies purchased to begin when you are already overseas or while you are already overseas are subject to a:

• 48 hour waiting period for all benefits; and
• $500 excess for all claims. It is not possible to reduce this excess.

• Other eligibility requirements apply if you are purchasing a policy when you have already left Australia.
