Can I delay my departure date, lodge a claim and begin my trip within my original travel dates?

Yes, your policy is still valid for the original dates even if you need to make a claim for the delay. If you do not return on your original return date, you would need to pay for an extension - you will NOT be able to claim for this cost.

Where your trip is necessarily extended due to an event that entitles you to make a claim under this policy, we will extend your cover free of charge until you are able to travel home by the quickest and most direct route or for a period of six (6) months, whichever happens first.
