What do you consider a river cruise to be?

A river cruise is defined where there are no on-board medical facilities and you are not travelling in the open water.

Note:

  • If you are cruising in the Greek Islands, you are considered to be in open waters so you would need a cruise policy if you will be sleeping on the cruise ship for more than 4 nights.
  • If you will be taking a European river cruise, this would not be considered cruising in open waters, so you would not require a cruise policy.
  • If you will be taking a river cruise, you DO NOT need to select the cruise option.
