Yes, even though your cruise may never leave Australian Waters, most cruise ships are staffed with non-Medicare registered doctors, who charge overseas (mainly US Dollars) prices. As you can imagine, these costs can quickly rise. Even if you are only cruising around Australia, ensure you add on the Cruise option to ensure any on-board medical expenses are covered.
