What happens when my policy expires?

Your travel insurance policy will end on the Return Date you chose when purchasing it. All benefits stop on that date, whether you return home as planned or remain overseas.

It’s important to keep track of your expiry date while travelling. If you decide to stay overseas longer and wish to still be covered, you’ll need to extend your policy before it expires if you want cover for the additional period. You can do this by logging into your policy online or contacting Fast Cover during business hours — just remember to factor in time zone differences when arranging your extension.

Please note that if you choose to not extend your cover, cover will not apply to dates that are not listed on your Certificate of Insurance.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
