If we are unsure whether we are going skiing, can we upgrade to a ski policy later?
Yes, you may be able to upgrade to a Snow Sports Plus policy while you are already overseas by paying the difference in premium.
Another option is to purchase a separate Snow Sports Plus Already Overseas policy just for the time you’ll be skiing or snowboarding. In this case, you’ll hold two policies: your original one covering your whole trip, and the shorter Snow Sports Plus Already Overseas policy running in parallel for the snow sports portion.
Keep in mind that Already Overseas policies have some key differences: they come with a $500 excess, a 48-hour waiting period before cover begins, an age limit of 65 years, and a maximum duration of 21 days.
All cover is subject to the terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
