Does the Loss of Income benefit cover sickness?

No, the Loss of Income benefit only applies if you are unable to work to return to your usual occupation in Australia because of an injury caused by an accident during your overseas trip or as mentioned in your policy. It does not provide cover if you are unable to work due to sickness or illness.

We will pay if you are Injured during your overseas trip and become disabled within 30 days of the injury date because of the injury, and the disablement continues for more than 30 days after your return from your overseas trip to your home (your “waiting period”), and you are unable to return to your usual occupation in Australia,

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
