What is a sub-limit?

A sub-limit is a "part of", rather than "in addition" to, the maximum limit that applies to a benefit. The sub-limit is the most that we will pay for that particular type of claim.

For example: If you have the Comprehensive policy, your luggage and personal effects is covered up to $10 000, which is the maximum limit that we will pay for all luggage claims in total. If your camera is stolen, the most we will pay is $3000 for the camera, and not $10 000.
