Am I covered if my domestic flight is cancelled at the beginning of my trip?

If your domestic flight is cancelled at the beginning of your trip, depending on the policy taken out with Fast Cover, our Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit, Travel Delay Expenses benefit, or Special Event Transport Expenses benefit may be able to provide cover if the cancellation is due to an event that is covered under your policy. 

The Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit is available to provide cover for non-refundable pre-paid trip bookings such as flights, accommodation and tours, in situations covered by your policy. This benefit is included with our Comprehensive, Snow Sports, Domestic Plus, Frequent Traveller Saver and the Standard Saver policies.  

The Travel Delay Expenses benefit is available to provide cover for reimbursement of reasonable additional meals and accommodation expenses up to $200 for each traveller (excluding dependents) for each 24 hour period if your scheduled transport is delayed for at least 6 hours from the time your transport was scheduled to depart, in situations covered by your policy. This benefit is included with our Comprehensive, Snow Sports, Domestic Plus, Frequent Traveller Saver policies. 

The Special Event Transport Expenses benefit is available to provide cover for reasonable additional travel expenses to  book an alternative flight or other transport to help you make it to your special event on time if your scheduled transport is cancelled, delayed, shortened or diverted, in situations covered by your policy. The special event must meet our definition set out in the PDS. This benefit is included with our Comprehensive, Snow Sports Plus, Domestic Plus, and Frequent Traveller Saver policies.
