Am I covered if I leave my luggage with the hotel porter when I check-in and check-out?

There is no cover if your luggage is left unattended and unsupervised.

If your luggage is stolen because you were unable to leave your luggage securely in your hotel room and you had to leave it with the hotel porter, you should report it to the hotel management as soon as you can. You should obtain a written report of the incident and submit a claim for the loss.

The Claims team will assess each claim on a case by case basis, and the outcome of your claim will depend on your particular circumstances.
