Is sailing the same as a cruise?

We do not consider sailing the same as a cruise.

Cruising

You are considered to be on a cruise if you are on a commercially operated ocean-going vessel that is licensed to carry paying passengers, has on-board accommodation and a trained medical practitioner or staff trained and accredited in advanced first aid (or the equivalent level in the country that you are travelling in).

Sailing

You are considered to be sailing if you will be travelling up to 10 nm from any land mass, or if you have the Adventure Pack, between 10 nm and15 nm from any land mass, and the boat that you are travelling on does not satisfy our definition of a cruise ship.
