Does travel insurance cover prepaid theme park tickets?

Prepaid theme park tickets can be something you’re able to claim for when they’re part of your prebooked and pre-paid trip costs that you can’t recover in any other way.

This type of claim is generally considered when you have to unexpectedly cancel or reschedule before your trip starts, or you have to shorten your trip and cancel remaining prepaid bookings while you’re away. You’ll also need to make a reasonable effort to recover any refundable tickets or credits first, as anything you can get back is taken off the claim amount.

It’s important to note that you cannot claim if the theme park itself closes or changes its schedule for reasons outside of your policy cover, or if you simply change your mind about attending.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
