Do receipts, medical or police reports have to be translated into English for my claim?
When you initially submit your claim to Fast Cover, you should attach your original, untranslated documentation for the Claims team to review. This includes any receipts, medical reports, police reports, or other supporting documents directly related to your claim. The claims team will assess your claim based on the information provided.
If the claims team determines that your documentation needs to be translated, they will contact you to request for translation. Translation fees are not covered by your travel insurance policy.
You have two options for translation:
- You can choose to pay for the translation through an external company selected by Fast Cover, or
- You may use your own translation service, provided that the translation is completed by a translator accredited by the National Accreditation Authority for Translators and Interpreters (NAATI).
Eligibility criteria, policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub limits apply. Consider the PDS prior to deciding on which policy is right for you and your needs.
Any advice is general advice only and does not take into account your individual objectives, financial situation, or needs. Please consider the PDS before making any decisions regarding the purchase of travel insurance.
As each individual’s circumstances are different, we will assess each claim on a case-by-case basis in accordance with your specific circumstances, policy terms, and Certificate of Insurance.
