How long before my departure can I buy a travel insurance policy?

You can buy a Fast Cover travel insurance policy anytime from up to 12 months before your trip right up until the day you depart. We also offer Already Overseas policy with certain terms and conditions.

If you wish to be covered for Trip Cancellation benefit, you may purchase the policy earlier as the benefit starts from the moment you buy your policy (note: this benefit isn’t available under the Basics policy). Not all benefits apply to all policies, so always review the PDS and TMD before deciding to buy.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
