What do I do if the COVID-19 situation changes in the country I am in?

  1. You should monitor Smartraveller for updates and consider the Australian Government's advice at all times, which may include returning home to Australia immediately.
  2. You MUST follow all advice from the government of the country you are in.
  3. Follow the direction of local media in your current location.
  4. Make responsible decisions and act in a reasonable way to protect yourself.

All COVID-19 and non-COVID-19 related claims will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.

There is the likelihood you will NOT be covered if you have:

  • Not followed government advice or 
  • Failed to act responsibly to protect yourself.
