Am I covered for my accommodation cancellation costs if my chartered flight to my destination is unable to go ahead because of poor weather?

You have not yet left home:

You can claim for the cost to cancel your accommodation booking.

You are already on your trip:

You can claim for the cost (whichever is higher) of either:
  1. The cost of your accommodation cancellation costs, OR
  2. The cost of booking new accommodation.
Make sure that you have the necessary documentation to support your claim, including:
  • A confirmation from the relevant  airport authority of the reason for the flight cancellation, and 
  • Confirmation of the accommodation booking being non-refundable.
