Am I covered if the border is closed to Indonesia or travel restrictions are imposed between Bali and Australia?

No, there is no cover if the Australian or Indonesian government prevents travel between the two countries — for example, due to Foot and Mouth Disease or other government-imposed travel restrictions.

As stated in General Exclusion 9 of the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS):

To the extent permissible by law, we will not pay under any circumstances if your claim arises from any government prohibition, regulation, or intervention.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
