Can I claim new flights if my airline refunded my air miles but I cannot use them straight away?
If your airline has refunded your air miles in full after you were unable to fly, this is generally considered that you have already been compensated for your loss. In this situation, there is no cover under Fast Cover policies for the cost of booking new flights, even if the reissued miles cannot be used immediately and are only valid after several months.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
