Am I covered for cancellation costs on a work trip if wet weather stops me from working?

Travel insurance covers the expenses you’ve already paid to enable your trip, such as flights and accommodation. 

• If severe weather cancels your booked transport and you can’t leave for your trip, you may be able to claim your cancellation costs. 
• If your transport is unaffected and you can still travel to your destination, there is no cover for cancellation costs, even if the weather prevents you from working once you arrive.
