Does the Rental Vehicle Excess benefit apply to cars hired in Australia?

Rental vehicle excess benefits apply to cars hired around the world. Whether it’s a year-long adventure in Canada or a short weekend road trip in Australia, our rental car excess benefits will apply to rental vehicles, provided they meet the conditions as set out in our Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).  

If you’re renting a vehicle within Australia, our Domestic Plus policy includes a $5,000 Rental Vehicle Excess limit automatically.  

Please note that the rental vehicle must still have a car insurance in place for damage or theft of the rental vehicle in your custody and control, and this benefit generally applies to the excess portion only, up to the limit specified on your policy.
