Do I need an electronic travel authorisation to travel to New Zealand?

Australian citizens do not need a New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority (NZeTA) to enter New Zealand. Australian permanent residents (who are not Australian citizens) must obtain an NZeTA before traveling to New Zealand. Australian temporary residents should use Immigration New Zealand’s online tool to check if they need a visa or an NZeTA to travel to New Zealand based on their specific circumstances.
