Is Shooting covered?
Shooting at fixed targets is included under Fast Cover travel insurance policies, provided it is done at a licensed commercially operated shooting range.
To be covered for shooting at moving targets, such as clay pigeons, you’ll need to purchase the Adventure Pack add-on with your policy. This must also take place at a licensed commercially operated shooting range
There is no cover for shooting at live targets, including game hunting or safaris.
The activity must not be undertaken in a professional capacity. The Adventure Pack is not available with the Basics policy.
Whether a claim for shooting is payable will depend on your policy type, the specific circumstances, the type of expenses you’re claiming, and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub-limits.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
