Do I need to add on the Adventure pack for doing the rock wall climbing on the ship?
Outdoor rock wall climbing on a cruise is included as a listed activity under the Adventure Pack. This means you’ll need to purchase the Adventure Pack add-on with your Fast Cover travel insurance policy for the activity to be considered under your cover. It must be done only with a licensed commercial operator using ropes and appropriate safety gear. Free solo climbing is not covered.
Indoor rock climbing on a cruise is included within the Covered Sports and Leisure Activities under Fast Cover travel insurance policies. This activity must be carried out under appropriate supervision.
All climbing activities must be undertaken recreationally and not in a professional or competitive capacity. The Adventure Pack is not available with the Basics policy.
Whether a claim for cruise ship rock wall climbing is payable will depend on your policy type, the specific circumstances, the type of expenses you’re claiming, and the policy terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub-limits.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
