Does travel insurance cover Airbnb bookings?

Airbnb and other holiday rentals can be covered under your travel insurance in the same way as hotels or other prepaid accommodation. If you need to cancel or your trip is disrupted for a covered reason under your policy, you may be able to claim for the unrecoverable costs of your Airbnb booking.
