Does travel insurance cover volcanic ash clouds?

Whether cover applies may also depend on:

• If the volcanic ash cloud was unforeseen when you booked your travel.

• Whether your travel took place against the advice or warnings of a government, official body, or widely reported media warnings about the natural disaster.
