Can a child in a full-time apprenticeship be covered under a Family travel insurance policy?

A child who is undertaking a full-time apprenticeship is considered to be in full-time employment. Because of this, they cannot be covered as a dependant under a Family policy. 

Family policies only allow dependant children or grandchildren to be included if they are: 

• Aged 20 and under, and 
• Not in full-time employment. 

If your child is in a full-time apprenticeship, they would need to purchase their own Single policy to be covered.
