What is considered specialist climbing equipment?
Although the term ‘Specialist Climbing Equipment’ is not defined in the Product Disclosure Statement, it generally refers to gear or devices specifically designed for specialised climbing activities such as mountaineering, alpine climbing, or other high-risk outdoor activities involving climbing. This equipment is generally used for safety, support, or technical climbing techniques.
Specialised climbing equipment can include (but is not limited to) the following items:

Specialist climbing gloves

Climbing using guides or ropes or rock-climbing equipment

Spinner leashes (minimise the consequences of accidentally dropping a tool)
