Does travel insurance cover for being in a tuk tuk overseas?

If you’re travelling in places like South-East Asia, tuk tuks are a common way to get around. Your Fast Cover policy will cover you if you are a passenger in a tuk tuk that is operated by a licensed driver.

However, if you choose to drive or hire a tuk tuk yourself, you will not be covered. Our policies exclude cover for driving or operating any mechanically powered vehicle, including tuk tuks.
