Is the Basics travel insurance policy available for domestic and international trips?

The Basics policy is designed for international travel only. When you take out this policy, you’ll need to nominate the geographical region that applies to your journey, such as Asia, Europe, or Worldwide. 

It’s important to know that the Basics policy cannot be purchased for domestic travel within Australia. If you’re looking for cover within Australia, you’ll need to consider one of Fast Cover’s domestic travel insurance options instead. 

Always review the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS) to check which destinations are included in each geographical region and make sure the policy is right for your trip. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
