What is 'Trip Cancellation Expenses' cover?
The Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit reimburses you for pre-paid trip bookings (e.g. flights, accommodation or tours), if you are required, to cancel or re-schedule prior to departure, or shorten your trip at any time, as a direct result of circumstances neither reasonably expected nor intended by you prior to the issue of the Certificate of Insurance.
Note:
- If you have the Comprehensive, Standard Saver, Snow Sports Plus, Domestic Plus policies, the Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit starts when the policy is issued.
- If you have the Frequent Traveller Saver policy, the Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit starts on the date that you specify on your policy.
- If you have the Already Overseas policy, the Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit starts after your 48 hour "no cover period".
- There is no Trip Cancellation Expenses benefit if you have the Basics policy.
