What happens if I need to make a travel insurance claim and I think I was at fault?
If something goes wrong while you’re travelling and you think you may have been at fault, it’s still worth submitting a claim so it can be properly assessed.
Claims may not be automatically declined just because you believe you were at fault. What matters is whether the event meets the policy terms, conditions, limits, and if any exclusions have been triggered. The claims team will look at the circumstances of what happened and how it fits within the policy.
