What happens if money from my travel insurance claim is later recovered from someone else?

Under the Fast Cover Travel Insurance PDS, you are not covered for any loss, cost or expense that is recoverable or has already been recovered from another source. This includes situations where you have been provided or offered a refund, credit, voucher, or rescheduling option.

This means you cannot receive compensation twice for the same loss. If you are reimbursed elsewhere after your claim has been paid, in maintaining a duty of utmost good faith, you are required to inform us as we may recover that amount from you.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
