Can I claim trip cancellation if I’m denied entry to a country because I wasn’t vaccinated?

If you are denied entry because you did not receive the required vaccination, your claim may not be covered unless you had a valid reason for not being vaccinated (for example, a medical condition we can cover you for, or pregnancy). Each case will be reviewed individually by the Claims team.

If you are denied entry for reasons such as acting illegally, breaking government prohibitions, laws, or regulations (including visa and vaccination requirements), your claim will not be covered. This is listed as a General Exclusion in the PDS.

COVID-19 vaccinations:

There is no cover if your claim arises from breaking laws, prohibitions, or regulations (such as vaccination requirements), or if you are denied boarding by an airline, shipping line, or other carrier because of COVID-19 vaccination requirements.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
