Can I claim for kennel and cattery services in Australia because my travel home was delayed?

Kennel and cattery costs aren’t listed as a benefit under the policy, and there’s no cover for these expenses if your return home is delayed. Travel Delay Expenses only apply to additional costs like meals, accommodation or local transport when your pre-booked carrier is delayed, and only for you as the traveller. 

Because pet boarding fees aren’t included as a covered benefit, they aren’t something you can claim for if your trip is extended unexpectedly.
