If my travelling companion was using my phone and it was stolen, can I still make a claim?

You can still submit a claim if your phone is stolen while your travelling companion is using it. What matters is that the phone belongs to you and that the situation meets the terms and conditions of your policy. Additionally, the travelling companion must be listed in your COI, otherwise it may not be covered.  

Once you lodge your claim, the claims team will look at the circumstances and consider whether the phone was being looked after responsibly at the time it was stolen. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
