Does my cover start when I board my plane, or on 12 am of the actual day of my policy?

The certificate of insurance sets out the period of cover.

If you have a Comprehensive, Standard Saver, Domestic Plus, Snow Sports Plus policy:

• Cover for Trip Cancellation Expenses begins from the time the policy is issued.
• Cover for all other policy sections begins on the date of departure as stated on the certificate of insurance. Your cover starts from the time you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from.

If you have a Frequent Traveller Saver policy:

• Cover for Trip Cancellation Expenses for all your trips begins on the date that you specify on your policy
• Cover for all other policy sections begins on the date of departure of each of your trips.

If you have a Basics policy:

• Your cover starts from the time you leave your home to go directly to the place you depart from.

If you have an Already Overseas policy:

• Your cover starts 48 hours immediately following your 'no cover' period..
