What is covered under 'Theft of cash'?
The Theft of Cash benefit can reimburse you for cash, bank notes, currency notes, postal orders, or money orders that have been forcibly and violently stolen whilst on your person, or using the threat of force or violence, whilst on your person during your overseas trip, up to the limit set out in your policy. To make a claim, you will need to provide supporting evidence, such as a police report confirming the theft.
It is important to note that this benefit does not apply if you simply lose your money, misplace it, or leave it unattended. Only theft may be covered, and the availability of this benefit will depend on the policy type you hold.
Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
