What is 'Delay of Luggage and personal effects' cover?
The Delay of Luggage and Personal Effects benefit reimburses you for the reasonable cost of essential clothing and personal items you need to buy if your checked luggage is delayed, misdirected, or misplaced by your carrier for more than 12 hours while you are on your overseas trip. For example, this could include the cost of basic items such as a toothbrush, toiletries, or a change of clothes.
This cover only applies if:

You hold a Comprehensive, Snow Sports Plus, or Frequent Traveller Saver policy
- Your carrier does not provide compensation for the delay
It’s important to note that there is no cover under this benefit if you are travelling within Australia or if the delay happens on the final return leg of your trip home.
