What is Specified High Value Item Cover?

If you will be taking a valuable item with you on your trip, and the amount that the item is automatically covered for is not enough, you can pay an additional premium to increase the cover for the valuable item. The item will then be considered a "Specified High Value Item".

Note:

  • You can increase the value for a single item up to a maximum of $5000, and a total of $10 000 for all specified items combined.
  • If you do not purchase Specified High Value item cover for your items of luggage, they are considered "Unspecified items" and are covered under Benefit 14: Luggage and Personal Effects, up to the limits as specified in the  Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
  • No depreciation is applied to specified high value items.
