Are GoPros covered under travel insurance?

GoPros are treated as camera, which means they’re covered as part of your luggage and personal effects up to the item limits that apply to your policy.  

If a GoPro isn’t listed as a Specified high value item, it will be covered as an Unspecified item and subject to the standard sub limits. If you want higher protection, you can list it as a Specified high value item, as cameras and their accessories can be insured this way. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
