Does travel insurance cover my bicycle if it’s damaged in transit?
Bicycles can be covered under your travel insurance if you’ve added the Bicycle Pack to your policy and it’s shown on your Certificate of Insurance. To be eligible, your bike needs to be:
- Less than three years old; and
- Valued at $1500 or more; and
- Free of defects.
Just a heads-up, the Bicycle Pack is not available with the Basics policy.
Every claim is reviewed individually on case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions of your policy. Be sure to check the PDS so you know exactly what’s covered before you travel.
