Why don't I have any medical cover if I'm travelling in Australia?

There is no medical cover whilst you are travelling in Australia as medical expenses are covered by Medicare and/or your private health insurance.

In the event of a medical emergency while you are travelling domestically, you should call 000 for assistance as you would normally do if you were at home. You can also seek assistance from the relevant authorities where you are visiting, including the resort, hotel or airline, bus line or train line.

As each individual’s circumstances are different, in the event of a claim, our claims team will assess each claim on a case by case basis.

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
