What is the meaning of 'Off-piste' in travel insurance?

Off-piste means any area away from prepared ski runs that Is outside of resort boundaries and is where skiing or snowboarding is allowed.

Off-piste areas are often more adventurous, with powder snow, trees, and natural obstacles. They can be great fun, but they also generally carry higher risks compared to sticking to the main runs.

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
