What benefit is repatriation covered under?

If you are seriously injured and the Emergency Assistance Team deem it necessary to return you to Australia for treatment:

Repatriation is covered under Benefit 4: Overseas Emergency Evacuation and Repatriation.

If you die as a result of an injury or sickness during your trip, the Emergency Assistance Team will organise for your remains to be returned to Australia:

Repatriation of your remains is covered under Benefit 1: Overseas 24/7 Emergency Medical Assistance up to a maximum of $20 000.

Note:

There is no cover for any medical expenses once you have returned to Australia.
