Is it worth it to get travel insurance?

The value of insurance may be considered to be worth it when you consider the cost of travel insurance cover, which is most likely to be relatively small compared to the cost of your total holiday. Costs may vary from a few hundred to hundreds of thousands for an unexpected overseas hospital visit depending on various factors. These costs can easily escalate with extended hospital stays and when a medivac is required to bring you back to Australia.  We also provide 24-hour support from the Emergency Assistance team if an emergency occurs.
