Can I buy travel insurance after booking my flight?

You can buy travel insurance after booking your flight, as long as it’s before your trip begins. Policies can be issued right up until the day of departure, even just before boarding, provided you meet eligibility criteria and no claimable event has already occurred. 

Keep in mind that some benefits, like Trip Cancellation benefit, are only available if your policy was purchased before the event that caused the cancellation. Waiting too long may limit the benefits available to you. 

Every claim is reviewed individually on a case-by-case basis and will only be paid if it meets the terms, conditions, limits, and exclusions in your policy. Always check the PDS carefully so you know exactly what’s included before you travel.
