I have a policy without snow sports cover, but can I be covered for snow sports for just a part of my trip?
To have cover for snow sports, you have two options:
1) You can upgrade your whole policy to a Snow Sports Plus policy and pay the additional premium, or
2) You can purchase a separate Snow Sports Plus already overseas policy just for the period that you will be doing snow sports. In this option, you will have two policies (your normal policy covering the whole time that you are overseas for, and the shorter Snow Sports Plus Already Overseas policy only covering the time that you will be doing snow sports) running in parallel for the period of time that you have the Snow Sports Plus policy.
It's important to know that an Already Overseas policy comes with a $500 excess, a 48-hour waiting period before cover starts, and an age limit of 65 years. In addition to that, the Already Overseas Snow Sports Plus policy can only be issued for up to 21 days.
Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
