I have a policy without snow sports cover, but can I be covered for snow sports for just a part of my trip?

To have cover for snow sports, you have two options:

Option 1:

You can upgrade your existing policy to a Snow Sorts plus Policy, the additional cost  you will be required to pay will be the difference of what is already paid for existing policy and what should have been paid, had you purchased the Snow Sports Plus policy from the beginning.

Option 2:

You can purchase an Already Overseas Snow Sports Plus Policy, for a maximum of 21 days, to sit parallel to your single trip policy.

  • This means that  you will have a Single trip policy and an Already Overseas Snow Sports Plus policy that will run in parallel for a period of time.
  • You can purchase the Already Overseas Snow policy before departure or during your trip (must meet the T&Cs of cover for purchasing an already overseas policy).
  • Coverage for claims that may occur during the Snow Policy period, will not be extended and will cease at the policy end date, unless approved by our EA team.
  • A $500 excess applies for any claims for any event that occurs within the dates of the Already Overseas Snow policy.
  • 48 hour waiting period applies for all Already Overseas policies regardless of when you purchase your policy.
  • You can purchase multiple 21 days (or less) Already Snow Sports policies within the duration of your single trip policy.

Note: For snow cover of more than 21 days, you must chase a Single trip Snow Sports Plus policy for the full duration of your trip.

For more information on your policy options, call our Aussie-based customer service team who are available to provide support from 9am-5pm AEST Monday – Saturday on 1300 409 322.

Each policy has specific terms, conditions, exclusions, limits and sub-limits. Not all benefits apply to all policies, so always review the PDS before deciding which policy is right for you.
