What should I do if I can't make it to a police station to report a theft?

You must report a theft as soon as practicable, but preferably within 24 hours to the police or an office of the bus line, airline, shipping line or rail authority you were travelling on when the theft occurred.

If you are unable to make it to a police station to report a theft, you should obtain written confirmation of the theft (eg from the hotel management or tour group leader) to confirm the incident, and also why you were not able to get to the police station.
As everyone's situation is different, the Claims team will assess all claims on a case by case basis.
