I am hiking above 3000 m, do I need to have a guide?

You do not need to have a guide even if you are hiking above 3000 m.

However, to be covered for hiking above 3000 m and up to a maximum of 6000 m, you will need to add the Adventure Pack to your policy for an additional premium.

Note:

  • Hiking at any altitude is only covered if specialist climbing equipment is not required.
  • The Adventure Pack is NOT available with the Basics policy
  • You are NOT covered under the following benefits if you have the Adventure Pack:
    • Benefit 10: Permanent Disability
    • Benefit 11: Loss of Income
    • Benefit 18: Personal Liability

Cover is subject to the policy terms, conditions, limits and exclusions in the Product Disclosure Statement (PDS).
